The underbody is a fin keel and skeg rudder for reduced wetted surface with increased all around performance and maneuverability. The free board ends with a classic sheer and subtle tumblehome in the back end. Construction is glued and edge nailed Fir strip planking with 12ounce bi-axle fiberglass cloth; two layers on the outside with one layer on the inside set in epoxy resin. The bi-axle cloth gives strength in the diagonal where the Fir strips lends their strengths longitudinally, making this a very strong low maintenance hull. The keel, stem and deadwood are constructed with laminated Fir with the ballast made of cast lead all bolted together with Silicon Bronze. The decks are mad of marine grade plywood coated in epoxy cloth and overlaid with teak. The deck is where the classic style begins, starting with a spacious aft cockpit and wide side decks surrounding the solid wood cabin sides. Leading down the companionway you will first notice the six-Three head room and the brightness of a light wood interior decorated with brass hardware and fixtures. The furniture construction is solid wood raised panel doors and plywood. The wood is edge grain Fir and African mahogany for an accent and protection in high wear areas. All wood is finished bright, except the painted T&G Deckhead and head bulkheads.

The accommodations are simple and straightforward: full galley aft to port and a chart table opposite. The saloon offers bench seating and a table to starboard with a dinette opposite. The head has lots of room to maneuver, and the spacious owner’s cabin forward has lots of storage. The simple, single-spreader rig is heavily stayed with the backstay increasing mast support in gale conditions. The boat is designed to sail offshore in any weather and with the rig being 613sq-ft there is ample sail area to sail in light winds. The auxiliary power is a Yanmar diesel 3GM30F.
